As a student of MIU, I know that many people met their life partners during the four years of study. I will share with you the true story about love. However, these people whose love story is asked me not to tell their real names.
So let me tell you a little about them to make the story clear. She is foreign student from Russia, let’s name her Irina. She is a young and beautiful girl who has never been in a relationship before. He is Mongolian guy who was a very active student, in this story he is named Bayraa. Their love story unfolded in the most unconventional manner – they first crossed paths in an online class, where she found his constant talking annoying, and he thought that she was some constantly dissatisfied girl. It’s immediately clear that they didn’t get along in online study time.
However, fate had other plans as the end of the pandemic forced all foreign students to return to school, bringing them face to face in real life. At the end of the summer of 2021, students from Russia were in quarantine for two weeks in the MIU dormitory, during which time several Mongolian students prepared food for them. Among them was Bayraa. Irina and the other girls including me were bored in quarantine and we bothered him as much as we could. She immediately noticed him, seeing his care and attention, she decided that he would be hers.
After the quarantine ended, all the students lacked activities, they all wanted to be among people. So we all got together in a big international group and played different board games in the most convenient place of our university “Gilgal” and other parts of the campus. Sometimes we played questions and answers and thanks to these games the characters of this story started to get closer to each other. They shared countless moments of joy. During about two months of these games, constant talks about different things, Irina and Bairaa knew that their connection is deeper than just friendship, but no one took the first step.
Finally, one day Bayraa, having talked with the closest friends, having consulted about this relationship, realized that if he did not admit his feelings, he would regret it for the rest of his life. They were in Gilgal with their friends. He asked to leave this place and talk outside. He confessed his feelings and asked her to try to build a relationship. She was waiting for this moment, but as a girl she said: “let me think for a moment”. After a minute she agreed and their love story began.
In the heart of MIU, where people from diverse backgrounds come together, their love finds a home. It also happened with my characters in this love story. They met at university, already graduated and are still together, hand in hand. Bayraa and Irina are doing well now, they have been for three years. No one knows what will happen in the future. Let’s just wish them happiness.
